On 19 September 2024, the Innovation Meetup ‘Renewable energy in urban areas – gimmick or door opener?’ took place in the innovation pub ‘Zum Kuhhirten’ in Bochum.
In collaboration with the Bochum Economic Development, experts from science, business and local authorities met to discuss the potential of renewable energy in urban areas in a relaxed atmosphere.
A short keynote speech was followed by lively discussions on innovative ideas such as energy-generating façades and sustainable mobility. The participants contributed new ideas and made valuable contacts, and we can look back on an inspiring evening that highlighted the huge potential of renewable energy in an urban context.
